Who are we ?

together.kiwi is a community of people who love where they live and love being local. We have a sense of belonging here and we feel about good about being together in Aoteoroa/New Zealand.

We are people from all walks of life, backgrounds, ethnicity and live in communities everywhere in Aotearoa/New Zealand.

We believe we are strong standing together and appreciate commonsense found in ordinary everyday lives of people who live in this land.

We acknowledge our families and communities and believe that sharing events, culture, experiences, news and opinion will bring us better understanding.

We will do this by making videos about people, events, news and opinion in local communities. Our videos will be produced into local and nation-wide programmes streamed to devises across the country (including televisions ).

Why are we here ?

People increasingly want to see and hear news, information and opinion that is worthy and reliable.

There is a thirst for authenticity.

The world is connected as never before. Smart devises and access to the internet are entrenched in our daily lives. Ironically we have become more lonely and isolated.

Time spent on our devises yields momentary gratification, often through trivia, consumerism and gossip.

This artificial connection sometimes neglects a deeper understanding of ourselves and the communities around us.

We believe there is a yearning for real connection. We want to belong to a world where people and communities see, hear and listen to one another.

Uncovering authentic local content and offering it to our communities and regions is the job we have taken on at together.kiwi.

We are a voice determined to build appreciation, tolerance and acceptance between people. And we will reflect this in content they see and hear on the together.kiwi channel.

What do we want ?

We want to encourage and inspire people to be part of something bigger than themselves. By looking, listening and learning about ordinary everyday life, we want to foster better appreciation, tolerance and acceptance for each other.

Smaller communities are cohesive at the best of times, but it is during times of adversity when larger communities tend to pull together. We want care and concern at a local level to uplift a greater sense of belonging together as a nation.

Many of us no longer want sermons and pronouncements from corporate media personalities who dress up as journalists often fomenting division and distrust.

Instead we want to concentrate on our strengths and successes together.

We want to use the tools technology has given us to find a richer more meaningful existence. We can do this by working together and create our own ideas about who we are, why we are here and what we want.
